It should come as no surprise that almost everyone gets online to look for new homes these days. A published report by statista.com shows that 99% of home buyers between ages 24-57 used the internet to find homes during their home-buying process in 2022.
So how can you make your online listings stand out? Other than your property’s price point, nothing will get a prospective buyer’s attention more than exceptional real estate photography. In fact, according to statistics by the National Association of Realtors, about 87% of homebuyers on the internet find images to be among the most useful features of listing websites when looking for new homes.
But beyond that, timing might be everything when it comes to professional photography and selling your property. The secret is twilight. Exterior photos taken during the first or last hour of daylight—sometimes referred to as the golden hour—have become more and more popular in real estate listings.
And while natural twilight photos can be enough to hook someone browsing listings, with a little bit of editing, you can enhance the colors of the captured sky and your home’s interior lighting to achieve maximum appeal. Using an edited twilight image with enhanced skies as the listing’s main photo averaged 76% more views than listings without the use of twilight images.
Virtual twilight photos may lack some of the realism, but they are definitely eye-catching. Featuring vivid colors, high contrast, impressive sky views, and warm interior lighting, it’s easy to see how these images can grab the attention of prospective buyers. Studies have also found that listings with these edited virtual twilight images received 16% more views than those with natural twilight images.
What’s best for your home can depend on a variety of factors, however. Sometimes natural twilight is preferred, as shooting during the daytime can be problematic due to the shadows the sun casts, or because of the amount of landscape and/or architectural lighting on the property.
Better Photography, Better Home Prices
While only about 8% of online home listings include twilight photos, the listings that do tend to have higher home values, with 59% of homes selling for more than $500,000, 32% of homes selling for between $30,000-$500,000, and 8% of homes selling for $100,000-$300,000.
And better photos also mean better offer prices. Homes featuring professionally-edited photos receive 47% higher asking prices per square foot (cbsnews.com). So jumping on the trend of using virtual twilight photos may be the edge you need to get maximum value out of your available properties.

If you’ve perused the Trillivision website, you’ve undoubtedly seen how we can help add value to your real estate listings and live events. But our experience doesn’t stop there. We are also available to apply our photography and videography expertise to the legal arena with our video deposition services.
Depositions are typically meetings outside of a court of law where plaintiffs, defendants, or witnesses give testimony under oath in advance of a trial. Having a recording of these depositions can be compelling evidence for your case when it is presented in front of a judge and jury. For that reason, making a recording of the highest quality is ideal.
That’s where Trillivision comes in.
We have the experience and the technology to capture your video depositions with multiple cameras layered with crisp and clean audio. With our multi-camera setup, we can focus one camera on the witness and another on a sign language interpreter, relevant exhibits, the attorney conducting the interview, or other visual aids. We can then merge these views into a single split-screen video during post-production.
Additionally, an audio recording of the proceedings can be supplied as a separate file, if requested.
Here’s a look at our available technology and capabilities when capturing your video depositions:
- 6 microphones to up to 6 people; more available with advanced request
- Audio mixer to produce a clear, concise recording in a single file
- Choice of multiple cameras or one steady shot on the deposed
- Real-time live stream feed for remote participation
- Backdrop/background can be provided, if preferred
Our video deposition services are available throughout the Asheville area in Western North Carolina, as well as the Tri-Cities region in Tennessee and Virginia. If we can get to you within 90 minutes from our home base in the 28714 zip code in Burnsville, you can count on us.

In the post-Covid world, virtual events have become the mainstream. Their popularity was rising prior to 2020 already, so it’s no surprise that we find ourselves immersed in a world of almost daily Zoom calls and Google Meets.
People expect to be able attend events from afar now, but for bigger events and conferences, providing a convenient, yet competent virtual offering for offsite guests can be a challenge. You may need to acquire technology, whether it be software or equipment, and you could be forced to designate already busy staff members to figure it out.
So while the ability to bring your audience to you—virtually—can alleviate costs associated with organizing your event, that doesn’t mean it’s easy. So let Trillivision help you reach your audience with our live streaming services.
Thanks to our experience, we can help you avoid some of the more common drawbacks of live-streamed events. Often, virtual events can feel impersonal to attendees due to the use of a camera that is placed too far from the action. Low audio quality can also lead to a less than desirable experience.
With Trillivision, you can expect production quality from your live streaming services. We have the capability to stream your event using multiple cameras, including the ability to switch camera shots as needed—bringing your online viewers closer to the action so they feel like they are a part of your event. Doing a presentation? We can incorporate your PowerPoint slides into your live stream, mixing them in with closeup shots of your presenters.
For your audio needs, we can tie into your existing sound board or incorporate our own sound system to deliver crystal clear audio quality. And by choosing to work with us, you can avoid expensive equipment purchases or rentals. We’ve got you covered with the necessary items like tripods, lights, microphones, mixers, cameras, etc.
Not only do we have your streaming services covered, you can expect professional quality in our production work. We can provide you with graphic overlays as well as intros and outros for your stream, ensuring your audience has the proper context when they tune in.
At the conclusion of your event, we’ll provide you with a complete and downloadable version of your live stream that you can use to post on YouTube to allow for replay or archival purposes.
In addition to providing services near our home base in Yancey and Mitchell counties, we can also travel to Western North Carolina cities like Asheville as well as out-of-state locations like Johnson City, Tennessee, or Bristol, Virginia, should you have the need for our services.

Reasons to hire
There are many reason to hire a professional photographer to take your listings pictures. For example; true color to represent the true nature of a home, or color correction to green the grass in winter, or the use of wide angle lens to capture the whole room, or prefect sized exports for MLS, the list goes on. Lets not forget the use of drone services that help capture homes from other angles that a conventional camera just cant do as easy.
Did you know that commercial drone photography require you to have an FAA License? and that license must be renewed every two year by taking a test at one of the Federal Aviation Administration testing facilities? You can read more about it here. Not everyone who has a drone to snap a picture should take your listings drone photos. A photographer should. “Photographer first and Drone Operator second” is our motto says Trillivision’s owner Conrad Leavitt.
Can’t avoid the facts
According to Beverly-Hanks, 3M Corporation and Zabisco, 90% of information transmitted to the brain is visual. In addition, visuals are processed 60,000 times faster in the brain than text. Therefore if you wish to generate more views and showings ultimately landing more money in your pocket don’t skim out. In other words, give homebuyers a reason to look. More importantly give them the professional look. Furthermore home shopping is now done online. The majority of shoppers for example rated photos of properties for sale as the most useful website feature according to the National Association of Realtors® Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers.
