Who knew the leaf season would prove to be so beautiful here in Western North Carolina?

Most of us living here or visiting during October know what leaf season is but if you don’t come visit!. Driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway or on any number of mountain road will prove to be breathe-taking with the magnitude of color that the mountain foliage displays. It’s hard to predict year after year when the leafs will change and how they will change. Some years are better then others. Still there’s always that one tree or row of bushes that I look forward to seeing year after year. Even if the entire mountain side is not covered in fiery red and tainted golden yellow there still one tree that grabs my attention that yes, yes indeed fall is here. For me it’s a great time to be out taking photographs and hiking the properties that real estate agents are listing for sale. Other times it’s a reminder that winter is coming. No fear! I love to snowboard. White covered mountains, to me, are just are beautiful as the fall color peaks.

Sunsets in Western North Caroline remain a sight of beauty though out the year but something about the orange glow off the orange leafs make sunsets in fall extra enjoyable.
